Audi Brussels donates €13,000 to the Red Cross

Audi Brussels provides support to medical and social institutions during the Corona crisis. Yesterday, Volker Germann, CEO of Audi Brussels, presented Benoit De Raet, chairman of the local "Ganshoren-Koekelberg" section of the Red Cross, with a cheque of €13,000.

An Audi employee in a conversation

"We are happy to support you in your social initiatives and in the fight against the Corona virus. We are also extremely happy to announce that this idea was suggested by the employees themselves. This shows how deeply social responsibility is embedded in all of us in these difficult times and as the management board, we could not be more proud of our team", says Volker Germann.

This support to the Red Cross is the result of the initiative shown by an employee of Audi Brussels. The management then launched a fundraising campaign and the Board doubled the amount.

The Red Cross will use part of this amount to buy food packages for people in need. Another part will be used to buy protective equipment to prevent the spread of the Corona virus among its own volunteers as well as among nurses in hospitals and retirement homes.

Apart from this donation, Audi Brussels has also provided medical protective equipment such as face masks and protective clothing to social institutions.
